M.LAB Permanent Makeup

About
I am Marina, the founder of M.LAB Permanent Makeup, my personal project that aims to promote your natural and subtle beauty. My permanent makeup slightly improves the beauty of your natural features but does not completely change them. My creations are delicate and classy, as opposed to heavy and over the top dramatic looks that entirely change your facial features.

Read before procedure
•Your lips cannot be dry for the appointment. For the week leading up to the appointment you must moisturize your lips as much as possible (I recommend using Aquaphor multiple times per day).

• COLD SORES. If you have a history of cold sores
it is often recommended to take medicine for at least 3 days before and 3 days after the procedure. If you suffer cold sores more often you can consider longer treatment.

Every case is different so might need a different dosage. Many physicians prescribe oral medication:

Valtrex
Valacyclovir
Acyclovir
Famvir
Famciclovir
Zovirax
Please follow your doctor’s instructions.

•You shoul not take caffeine, alcohol, vitamin E, fish oil, aspirin, or pain medications 24 hours before as these thin the blood.
•Do not tan or spray tan two weeks prior or have a sunburned face.
•Do not have any type of facials, chemical peels, or Botox, one months prior. Discontinue Retinol products one month prior on or around tattoo area.
•Must be off chemotherapy for at least one year.
•It is recommended to shower and wash your hair before your appointment becasue you will not be able to wet the affected area for the first 24 hours.

•You cannot sweat for 10 days after or be in direct sun for 4 weeks so make sure you don’t schedule your appointment before any special events or vacations. •Affected zones will be dark for the first 7−14 days and have mild flaking for a few days.
Who cannot receive cosmetic tattoos?
Those who are pregnant, HIV positive, have certain immunodeficiency disorders, have been on Accutane or chemotherapy in the past year, are hemophiliac, or have eczema/rosacea on tattoo area. Autoimmune diseases will require a doctors note of approval. You must be off any lash growth serums 6 months before your procedure. If you get cold sores and desire a lip tattoo, you must get a prescription of Valtrex to take beforehand to eliminate the risk of an outbreak. No eyelash extensions can be worn during eyeliner tattoos.
Healing Process
What to expect straight after the semi permanent makeup procedure?
Tenderness
Dryness and itching
Swelling
Redness
Flaking
This is normal defensive reaction of the body.

Following your appointment, it is likely that your makeup will look bold, dark, and prominent – perhaps not quite as you expected them to be. In most cases, the skin under the pigment will be slightly red, causing the area to look darker.
Within the first 7−14 days, the pigment will fade by as much as 30−60 per cent, depending on an individual’s dermis, skin condition, age and UV exposure.
During exfoliation, treated area start to itch and their texture will be much thicker. It is important not to remove any of the scabs or scratch the treated area. Usually, the skin starts to scab from the outside edges.
As swelling and redness subsides, towards the end of the flaking process, the darkness and thickness of the eyebrows will reduce. This will result in a softer, natural look.
Full colour deposition will be achieved in around four to eight weeks. This is the ideal time to schedule your touch-up appointment, to saturate more pigment and make any minor adjustments.
After eyes procedure eyelids appear red and puffy, this usually comes down on the same day, although it may take longer on some clients to heal and symptoms may appear more prominent.
Aftercare
Wash (Days 1−7)

Wash daily to remove bacteria, build up of product and oils, and dead skin. (Don’t worry, THIS DOES NOT REMOVE THE PIGMENT!)
Gently wash the area each morning and night with water and gentle soap or an unscented cleanser like Dial Soap, Cetaphil, or baby shampoo. With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the area.
Rub the area in a smooth motion for 10 seconds and rinse with water ensuring that all soap is rinsed away.
To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or exfoliants.

Moisturize and hydrate (Days 1−7)

Apply a tiny, rice grain amount of Aftercare cream 3 times a day with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area.
Be sure not to over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The product should be barely noticeable on the skin.
NEVER put the product on a wet or damp tattoo.

Important Reminders
