With the start of acting for the next superhero movie Superman: LegacyIt won’t be long before James Gunn finds his man of steel. According to THR, screen tests are being held with different actors for the movie’s main roles, and some are said to be pairing up with others to test their chemistry. Among the rumored couples of Clark Kent and Lois Lane are Nicholas Hoult and Rachel Brosnahan. Tom Britney and Phoebe Dynevor; and David Korenswet and Emma Mackie.

According to the new report, which has not been confirmed by Gunn or DC Studios, multiple names are also in consideration for the role of supervillain Lex Luthor. The short list of rumored roles includes acting for the brothers Alexander Skarsgard (Northman) And Bill Skarsgard (he. she). It’s also said that Holt was first given Lex’s audition before being put into the Superman race, and it’s unclear if Holt would still be seen as playing a villain if someone else was cast as the Man of Steel.

Gunn previously warned fans not to believe rumors unless they came directly from him. Rosenbaum also teased that he is open to playing a new incarnation of Lex Superman: Legacy. Given how the multiverse allows this to happen despite his previous performance as Lex SmallvilleIt is not outside the realm of possibility. Rosenbaum has previously teased that he hopes to be considered for the role, though there haven’t been any reports of him auditioning at this point.

“Hopefully I’ll be in the running,” Rosenbaum said on Twitter to a fan who suggested Michael Rooker for the role. “I mean, I’ve played with him for 7 years. Unless you guys have a problem with that.”

Jesse Eisenberg played another big screen incarnation of Lex in the Snyderverse, making his debut in the role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
